There are a small number of Sargensons based in Rotherhithe, South London plus two other possible branches of the family. Joseph Sargenson (1731-1815) was a cooper who married his wife Ann Sugden (1733-1804) in St Botolph Without, Aldersgate in 1760. They went onto have at least eight children and lived in Rotherhithe where they rented a shop and house from Arnold King. Descendants of Joseph Sargenson report ends in the mid-1800s.
There are two other possible branches of the family in London but they are very small.
- Descendants of Samuel Sargison report – the family lived in Shoreditch.
- TDescendants of Thomas Sergisson report – the family lived in Aldersgate. Thomas was a widower when he married Susannah Butcher and I’ve been unable to find a previous marriage for him.
