As part of my study I have created a number of family trees which have been categorised by location as follows:
Central England – primarily the counties of Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
Cumberland and Westmorland in the North West of England.
Ireland and Scotland – many of these families include members of the army.
Landed Gentry – two main families: the Sergisons of Cuckfield Park and the Serjeantsons of Hanlith.
London and South East – including families from Rotherhithe and Surrey.
East Riding of Yorkshire – places including Hull, Sculcoates, Cottingham and Hotham.
North Riding of Yorkshire – mainly from around Aysgarth and Middleham.
West Riding of Yorkshire – Kirkby Malham and Calverley are two key places.
