The person currently at the top of this family tree is James Sergisson (1740-1813).  There are a number of variant surnames in this tree, although in later generations the majority seem to settle on Serginson. A second much smaller group originating from Grasmere in the Lake District is headed by John Serginson who married in 1721 these. Neither his baptism nor burial record have so far bee found.
