This family group of Sargersons is headed by Thomas for whom I’ve been unable to find a baptism record or much information about his children; I’ve only identified two of them and I suspect there are more. Many of the family members in this tree are Sargersons although the surname variants Sargeson and Sargieson also appear. This is Descendants of Thomas Sargerson report.
William Sargerson (1817-1896) lived in Lincolnshire and worked as an agricultural labourer; however, two of his sons moved to nearby Yorkshire for work:
- William (1850-1908) became a coke drawer in a colliery and lived in Bolton Upon Dearne in Yorkshire.
- Henry (1859-1932) became a shepherd living in Harewood in Yorkshire.
In addition, William’s daughter Eleanor (1857-1955) emigrated to Canada with her husband Matthew Snowden (1859-1945) and settled in Ontario.
Whilst I make every effort to verify the information included in these trees there is always the chance that I have made some mistakes. If you spot any or have any further information you are willing to share with me then do please contact me.
